GCSE Success
The Imberhorne School community are extremely proud of another excellent year of GCSE and BTEC outcomes of our Year 11 students, with a high proportion achieving top grades, as well as some notable personal successes.
We are extremely proud of the hard work and enormous dedication shown by students over their time at Imberhorne School and delighted that this is so well reflected in their results. These efforts have prepared students well for the next steps in their education and training and we look forward to welcoming a high proportion of them back into our Sixth Form in September.
There were some exceptional individual performances, with 33 students achieving at least one grade 9 or Distinction*, 7 students with half or more of their grades at 9 or Distinction* and 19 students achieving all grades 7-9.
We are also delighted that these outcomes reflect the success of all students across our school community and know that some will have overcome considerable personal challenges to be able to open up exciting experiences, opportunities and pathways.
Headteacher, Matthew Whatford, said:
“We couldn’t be more proud of our Year 11 students who have worked so hard and shown such drive and determination to achieve the results they deserve. We know that they will now go on to further success and personal fulfilment in their onward destinations, and are excited to see so many of them return to us at Imberhorne Sixth Form. These successes are not possible without the incredible commitment and support that comes from our staff across both teaching and non-teaching. Our door remains open to students who need our advice, guidance and support, and wish all students the very best of luck in all of the exciting opportunities that are coming next for them.”

School Transport allocation for September 2025

- Sixth Form students need to contact their designated council to see if they qualify for post 16 support.
- Students who have an address outside of West Sussex must apply to their own local authority, this includes students who live in Smallfield, Horley, Dormansland and Lingfield.
