U13 BOYS RUGBY
Hayes school 15 : 45 Imberhorne
The year 8 boys travelled to Hayes for their 1st fixture of the year, against a school that beat us last season. Seb M captained a side that included the returning Alex H-S, who missed most of last season and he looked like he wanted to make amends, playing in the second row. He carried the ball well into contact, created more line breaks than any other player, tackled well and was rewarded with 2 tries and the man of the match award. Our backs tried to play expansive rugby, the forwards put a shift in, but we looked a little rusty – with a little hard work at training, I’m sure these boys will be in a good position to take on Sackville at the Friday Nights Lights event on the 26th September. YEAR 7
Alfred Hunt from Year 7 plays inline ball hockey under 13s for Eastbourne Edge and London Knights. He is celebrating as his team won the season, coming first place in the South East. They competed in a National Competition in Cardiff over the school holidays, securing their second trophy for coming first place in the tournament.
As the national champions, they have qualified to play in the European championships which will take place abroad next year.
MEDALS GALORE
Zac Webber from Year13 had a successful week Pistol Shooting in the GB Junior International 2025 at Bisley. It was a tense and close final and he even received a few tips afterwards from Olympic shooter Yusuf Dikec. He came home with an impressive haul of medals.
