Orphanage Close to Opening Kitchen
Thanks to the fund raising of our Tanzanian exchange students and the generosity of Imberhorne friends and families, the Kisarawe orphanage in Tanzania is soon to have a kitchen for the first time since opening. Up until now, meals have been prepared and cooked in a cupboard using wholly inadequate facilities. This new project, which couldn’t have got off the ground without the Imberhorne Community, will provide the kitchen space that is so badly needed. Our Year 13 Tanzanian exchange students who returned from their visit to the orphanage a few weeks ago, saw first hand how tough conditions are when there is no formal cooking and preparation area. This build will really change lives. Thank you to everyone for their support over the past year.
