On Tuesday 23rd September we were lucky enough to have a Dance Teacher from the Rambert Dance School with us for the school day.The students found the workshop really helpful to further their studies in GCSE Dance. We went to see Rambert perform in Brighton at the end of Year 10 so when we found out they were coming to our school it was amazing! We were taught new movement motifs to use in group work and this material will help us so that we can develop new movement ideas and create a motif that we can use for our Unit 3 dance. This is called 'Oppression' based on a professional work by Christopher Bruce called 'Ghost Dances'. This is also a work we study for our written paper so all in all a really helpful experience, thanks Mrs Eckhoff for organising! Emily Hugget, Y11 Dance Student
