Our Amazing Year 7
We really enjoyed seeing so many parents, carers and extended family at our Year 7 Achievement Assemblies held on 6th and 7th November. We are very grateful to families taking time out of their busy day to support these events. Mr Celani, Head of Year 7 acknowledged how the role of families to support, prepare and work together with students is so vital to how well the year group have adapted to secondary school.
The assemblies celebrated how well our Year 7 students have settled in at Imberhorne and applauded how many achievement points they have earned so far. Achievement Points are awarded for displaying all manner of praiseworthy behaviours in school, and perhaps most importantly, recognise 'effort'. This year group have put in an outstanding amount of effort so far and after just eight weeks have received a certificate to confirm they are either extremely close to their Bronze award or have achieved their Bronze award for 50 points already. Form tutors spoke about their forms and we also introduced a little healthy competition by announcing the top 5 spots in each form group, in terms of achievement points.
A few students received their Silver award to recognise 100 achievement points and we extend a huge well done to them; Zara Saunders-Griffiths, Tia Chapman, Brandon Blacker, Katya Kashubina, Sophie Rees, Ethan Finney, India Fry, Comfort Wallis, Joe Goff, Edwin Lerat, Brook Storey Latham, Lucas Kewell and Mia Hobbs-Hewson. Keep it up Year 7.
