Charity Catwalk Spectacular 6th February 2014
On Thursday 6th February the main hall at Imberhorne Lane was transformed into a show to rival London Fashion week, as Year 11 students took to the catwalk and modelled prom gowns and suits to raise money for charity. The charities supported this year were chosen by the Year 11 form reps. The Make-A-Wish Foundation and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. It takes courage to put yourself in the limelight and do something that is out of your comfort zone; a lot of the Year 11 models have never performed before and we take our hats off to them for trying something different, especially when it is raising money for such worthwhile causes. Thanks to everybody that came to cheer on the models or helped make the evening such a success in any way. Those who ventured out in the wind and rain were not disappointed. The girls looked stunning and the boys didn’t disappoint either, looking very dapper in their DJ’s they were gallant and suave. The 6 male models treated the audience to one of the best closing performances we have ever seen at this annual event. They choreographed their own comedy piece to the Inbetweeners classic ‘We No Speak Americano’. Absolutely fabulous!Special thanks also go to the local companies who supported Imberhorne, without whom the show could not have taken place. Weddings & Special Occasions in Railway Approach, The Italian Wardrobe in Tunbridge Wells, Dickies Suit Hire in Crawley, Roots Hair Studio and Goldilocks Hair and Beauty, both in Railway Approach. Please see our Facebook page for details of a special offer from Roots Hair Studio. We were also well supported with donations for the raffle from 7th Heaven, Doves Barn, Tree Frog and Boots Chemist. Thanks to them for their support.
