On Saturday 30th November 15 of our Y13’s ran 8 and a half miles through mud, water, sand and swamp. Over obstacles, through valleys and up hills they battled. Each year a sixth form team enters The Grim Challenge, a seriously testing cross country race, on the Army’s tank testing circuit. This year’s motley crew took to the course like ducks to water (literally). The performance of the day has to go to Alex Leonida: its not often you see a prop forward enjoying a cross country run with such enthusiasm! All the students were a pleasure to spend the day with, full of fun and enthusiasm. Never has a burger and a whole bag of Jelly Babies been so hard earned! Money raised for this challenge goes to the Fragile X Society.
